Community Guidelines

1. Core Principles

• Authenticity and Respect: Be genuine. Engage in good-faith conversation. Treat others with respect, even during disagreements.
• Freedom with Responsibility: You can post, comment, like, follow, and unfollow as much as you want. We do not limit these actions artificially. However, all activity must comply with these guidelines and applicable laws.
• Safety First: We prohibit content and behaviors that endanger users, promote harm, or violate legal standards.
• Platform Integrity: No manipulation, spam, or inauthentic activity that undermines the experience for others.

2. Permitted Activities (High Freedom Areas)

• •Posting original thoughts, opinions, news, photos, videos, and creative content freely.
• •Following, unfollowing, liking, and engaging with any accounts or content (subject to these rules).
• •High-volume posting, commenting, and interaction, as long as it is not spammy, repetitive for artificial amplification, or harassing.
• •Sharing political, controversial, or dissenting views, provided they do not cross into prohibited categories (e.g., no direct threats or incitement).

3. Prohibited Content and Behaviors

We remove content and take action against accounts that violate these rules. Actions may include warnings, content removal, temporary restrictions, or permanent bans, depending on severity and repeat offenses.

• Violence and Threats: Do not post, glorify, incite, or express desire for real-world violence, harm, or criminal activity. Graphic violence must be labeled appropriately and not excessively gory or promotional.
• Child Safety: Zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation, abuse material, grooming, or any content involving minors in sexual contexts. This includes AI-generated or manipulated content.
• Harassment and Abuse: No targeted harassment, bullying, doxxing (revealing private info), stalking, or hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics. Disagreements are fine; personal attacks are not.
• Self-Harm and Suicide: Do not promote, encourage, or provide detailed guidance on self-harm, eating disorders, or suicide.
• Illegal Activities: No content promoting, facilitating, or depicting illegal acts (e.g., drug trafficking, fraud, theft, terrorism). Follow all applicable laws.
• Sexual Content and Nudity: Adult consensual sexual content between adults may be allowed in certain contexts (with proper labeling/age gates where feasible), but explicit non-consensual material, revenge porn, or unsolicited sexual harassment is strictly prohibited. Nudity is generally restricted in public feeds; artistic or educational exceptions may apply but require context. Comply with Google Play policies on inappropriate content.
• Spam, Manipulation, and Inauthentic Behavior: No excessive repetitive posting, mass-following/unfollowing for artificial growth, bot-like automation, or coordinated inauthentic activity. Do not create fake accounts, impersonate others, or engage in platform manipulation (e.g., buying/selling engagement, fake reviews). No unsolicited commercial spam, scams, or misleading giveaways. Advertising and promotions must be transparent and follow relevant laws.
• Intellectual Property and Privacy: Post only content you own or have rights to share. Respect copyrights, trademarks, and other IP. We respond to valid DMCA/takedown requests. Do not share private personal information without consent (doxxing). Credit sources when appropriate.
• Misinformation and Deception: We encourage healthy debate and do not heavily police opinions. However, do not spread deliberate deception intended to cause harm (e.g., scams, manipulated media presented as real with intent to mislead on critical safety issues). Context and labeling for sensitive topics are encouraged.
• Other: No promotion of hate groups, terrorism, or organized crime. Content must be appropriate for a diverse audience where possible, especially in public/recommended feeds. No circumventing moderation (e.g., using alternate accounts after a ban).

4. Reporting and Enforcement

• •Use in-app reporting tools to flag violations. We review reports promptly.
• •Enforcement is context-aware: factors include intent, severity, repetition, and impact.
• •Appeals: If you believe your content or account was actioned in error, contact support with details.
• •We may suspend or ban accounts for severe or repeated violations. In building phase, we are refining moderation — feedback is welcome.

5. Account and Platform Use

• •You must be at least 21 years old to use the platform. The Sober Legion is an adults-only community and is not directed at anyone under 21.
• •Keep your account information accurate. Secure your login.
• •We may limit features for new or suspicious accounts to prevent abuse.
• •Comply with Google Play Store policies as an Android app.

6. Additional Notes for Our Community

• •This is a building-phase platform — features are evolving. Your patience and constructive feedback help us improve.
• •We aim for minimal interference in organic engagement while protecting users from genuine harm.

• •Creators and brands: Disclose sponsored content clearly. Follow advertising laws.
